Digital audio advertising platform and one of the fastest-growing companies in the audio advertising industry AdTonos partners with DIT representing British Innovation Internationally at 4YFN

AdTonos, a London-based startup, has developed into an independent audio ad-tech company with a platform that is easy to use and gives advertisers and publishers full control of their ads. Currently, AdTonos are promoting their product Sandstrom SDK which allows for monetizing mobile games with non-intrusive audio ads. In light of the recent partnership of AdTonos and the Department of International Trade (DIT), AdTonos will now be representing British innovation internationally, and the first occasion will be at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, 28th February-3rd March 2022. AdTonos is one of only 10 startups representing the UK during 4YFN as part of the UK Pavilion.

MWC is an international exhibition and the largest it’s ever been, stretching across seven halls with 1500 exhibitors, 4YFN, the Ministerial Programme, and Industry City. Currently, registered attendees come from 2,000 different companies, 155 countries, and 50% are Director level or above. This is an excellent opportunity for AdTonos to showcase Sandstorm SDK, an innovative product that allows for monetization of mobile gaming through unobtrusive audio advertising, all from the same platform where one can place audio ads in different streams such as radio and podcasts too.

Audio is a rapidly growing channel within the advertising industry, which has evolved into growth in radio streaming, podcasts, and mobile gaming. The gaming industry has seen that audio ads are more effective as they don’t interrupt the gamer, and AdTonos is a company that’s driving the message that audio is essential and ad insertion doesn’t need to be disruptive to be effective. AdTonos allows companies to insert audio ads on any stream such as radio, podcast and mobile gaming.

The UK continues to drive innovation in technology, and AdTonos is an independent driver of development in the digital audio space. AdTonos aims to be the top choice for innovative technologies to bolster digital audio into everyday life. Future developments will lead to more voice-led tasks such as starting a car with a voice command. AdTonos already provides interactive voice capability for audio advertising, so that the consumer can respond instantly rather than pressing a button, or filling out a form and so one can order a pizza, book a test drive or even book a plumber visit.

As a market, over 90% of people listen to the radio, 50% of people have listened to podcasts(ofcom), and 57.9% (Techjury) of people play games on mobile devices and so the significance of audio cannot be understated. AdTonos recognise this, driving their leadership in digital audio. AdTonos has partnered with the Department of International Trade of the UK Government and has been invited to represent the UK internationally at a series of events and exhibitions. Audio has been undervalued for too long, and so one must remember that the market share of audio is greater than time spent reading newspapers and with only a fraction of the budgets put towards it.

“As one of the select group of companies supported by the UK’s Global Entrepreneur Programme it’s fantastic to see the progress AdTonos has made and we are super excited to help them showcase their fantastic platform to the worldwide audience at MWC in Barcelona.” said Mike Jackson, Dealmaker, DIT Global Entrepreneur programme.

“I am really excited to be a part of just a narrow group of 10 startups selected by the Department of International Trade (DIT) to join them as part of the official trade mission to MWC/4YFN. This is the perfect opportunity for AdTonos to showcase our Sandstorm SDK, a solution for mobile gaming monetization through audio ads. We’re already seeing massive growth in audio advertising in mobile gaming, and we’re passionate about the fact that audio ads don’t have to be obtrusive to be effective. The partnership with DIT will support our strategic goals and we are proud to be representing British innovation internationally, especially while driving innovation in advertising.”, added Michal Marcinik, CEO and Founder of AdTonos.

“It’s a great honour to be invited by the Department for International Trade (DIT) as one of a select few start-ups representing UK tech at this year’s MWC (4YFN) in Barcelona. Audio has traditionally taken a back seat to video in the ad tech world and with the mobile and gaming industry realising that Audio and Voice has a huge role to play, we are seeing unprecedented levels of growth globally and pleased we will be able to showcase our capabilities and innovations.”, said Paul Cranwell VP of Strategic Partnerships of AdTonos.

In advertising, there is a real need being fulfilled by British innovation, by companies like AdTonos. Audio is an essential part of many people’s lives, and AdTonos are international leaders from the UK driving the tech and innovation to enable it. AdTonos is proud to be representing British innovation with DIT at Barcelona for 4YFN on 28 February-3rd March.
